Valmet Automotive continues to grow strongly and expects to recruit 1000 people in South West Finland this year in blue and white collar positions. The production start of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class at the Uusikaupunki plant this year has a clear impact on the recruitment need. The need for additional white collars runs in dozens.
The main personnel need will be during the early part of the year. Initially, the recruitments will be focused on production supervisors and other white collars. The additional need for carbuilders for the new A-Class is estimated at several hundreds. The related campaign will be announced and launched later.
Getting ready for the production of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class
Valmet Automotive recruited about 150 white collars last year, their number now totaling at around 500. For the needs of fluent production, increasing volumes and expanding service range Valmet Automotive will be immediately recruiting dozens of white collars for positions in production, support functions and engineering services.
The number of personnel at Valmet Automotive’s Uusikaupunki car plant, the biggest factory in Finland, is now around 4000. Additional personnel for the needs of the new A-Class production will be required in the body, paint and assembly shops as well as in the internal logistics. Valmet Automotive will train all personnel.
