“I Was Born a Girl” is a powerful exhibition by Minna Pietarinen and Peppi Stünkel that raises awareness of women’s rights and gender equality through art.

Opened in Turku on May 22, 2025, in conjunction with the launch event of Women’s Health Hub Finland, the exhibition is a replica of the original installation by artist Minna Pietarinen. The main exhibition is touring the world.

It is open to the public from May 24 to June 11, 2025, in a space called Tiedonkolu, located between Medisiina D and Majakkasairaala.

The exhibition in Turku has been realized in collaboration with Women’s Health Hub Finland, coordinated by Business Turku. It serves as a powerful reminder of the global inequalities related to women’s health, rights, and well-being, and reflects the network’s goal of promoting impactful and innovative solutions in these areas.
