The Business Turku Hydrogen Network aims to accelerate hydrogen business in the Turku region and is intended for companies and stakeholders interested in hydrogen business. The network meets every other month.

The August meeting of the hydrogen network will be held on Friday, 29 August 2025, in Paimio, where we will be guests of Vahasilta Oy and Elinvoimakeskus Kaira. Vahasilta Oy specialises in demanding welding work, such as the manufacture of pressure equipment, piping, steel structures and combinations thereof.

After visiting Vahasilta, we will move to Paimiosali, where the programme will continue with networking and coffee. The guest speakers will be Jani Penttilä, Development Director at Paimio, who will highlight the region’s economic and development prospects, and Ismo Niemelä from Valmet, who is an expert in automation and energy technology applications at Valmet and focuses on, among other things, the integration of hydrogen technology in industry.

Boosting the hydrogen business in the Turku region:

The project will boost the European hydrogen economy by strengthening the development of the hydrogen business in the Turku region. The active development of the hydrogen economy is directly in line with the hydrogen strategy of Finland and the EU, which aims to reduce climate emissions and reduce geopolitical dependencies related to fossil raw materials.
