Energy Network goes Olkiluoto!
Business Turku Energy Network will visit the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant as guests of TVO on November 20 from 8 – 16.
The network will provide a fascinating overview of Finland’s largest electricity production facility with a joint tour.

Business Turku Energy Network invites all companies and operators involved in the green transition energy revolution who want to develop new sustainable business and RDI activities related to the energy revolution.
The agenda for the meetings typically includes company presentations, topical issues, and plenty of time for informal networking with new and familiar colleagues. There have been a steady 50+ participants!
In January 2025, Business Turku launched a joint network of companies, individual experts, universities, and public sector representatives operating in the energy sector, which meets regularly.
The meetings are held on Friday afternoons, five times in 2025.

Business Turku Energy Network’s goal is to enhance the vitality of local companies through regional collaboration. Vitality can be increased by accelerating the adoption of innovations and new technologies aimed at reducing emissions, as well as by developing new business models that improve the techno-economic viability of energy systems.
The network also facilitates the sharing of funding opportunities related to the energy sector’s operating environment, advocacy efforts, and the formation of joint messages. Its diverse group of participants and discussion topics offer perspectives beyond one’s daily operational environment, supporting the ideation of new business concepts.

The first year of operations for the Energy Network will be organized as part of the EU-funded ULLEVI project (New Business from Thermal Energy Storage).
The aim of the project is to promote companies’ ability to utilize renewable energy through thermal energy storage. The project also seeks to establish the Energy Network as a permanent forum for our region
